- Email address — Used to create your account, send login links, and communicate about your site. Provided by you at purchase.
- Payment information — Processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or billing details on our servers. Stripe provides us with a transaction reference and confirmation.
- Uploaded content — Images and text you provide to generate your website. Stored on our infrastructure to build and host your site.
- Basic usage data — Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operational purposes.
2. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, all functional:
- Session cookie — Keeps you logged in after authenticating via magic link. Essential for the service to work.
- Referral tracking cookie — Tracks how you found snip.site so we can understand which channels bring visitors. Does not contain personal information.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts. No Google Analytics. No Facebook pixels.
3. Third-Party Services
We use a few carefully chosen services to operate snip.site:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card data under their own privacy policy.
- Resend — Email delivery (login links, notifications). Receives your email address to send messages on our behalf.
- Anthropic — AI generation. Your uploaded images and text descriptions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate website content. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that processing.
- Cloudflare — Hosting and content delivery. Serves your generated website and provides security and performance features.
4. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to:
- Create and host your website
- Authenticate you and manage your account
- Process payments
- Send transactional emails (login links, purchase confirmations)
- Improve the service
We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing spam. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via magic links (no passwords to steal), and limited data retention. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — Ask us what information we have about you.
- Delete your account — Request that we remove your account and associated data, including your generated site.
- Export your content — Request a copy of your generated website.
